I bought a pair of these for my 7 year old son. At first, he complained of the shoes stretching too much at the instep, but just adjusting the laces solved the problem. I would like the shoes to have a little more flexible soles, but in the overall I'm quite satisfied. My son submits them to a harsh treatment, and he says they are quite comfortable. New Balance never betrays our confidence!

I have been having problems finding shoes for my daughter who has EXTRA WIDE feet. The latest shoes from the OTHER kids shoe brand just arent running as a real XW anymore in my opnion. Thank heavens that New Balance is now in the mix. They are absolutely wider and fit her perfectly. She said she felt so tall because they have really thick soles and support. My ONLY suggestion to NB would be to have more GIRLS colors go to the larger kids sizes instead of just boys. This white pair is good because I can put pink shoelaces on it. (There HAS to be pink or purple somewhere silly!)Thanks for making true XW shoes!!!

I chose New Balance for my granddaughter because she needs an extra wide shoe, and very few brand make them. These are excellent shoes. They are true to size and very well made. I will definitely purchase again.
