My son has wide feet and it is hard to find shoes that fit true to size. The New Balance does that. In addition, it holds up to the rough and tumble life style of a very active 7 year old. The shoe in black is easy to maintain. I bought the white ones, and have to throw them in the washer to keep them clean. But they keep their shape well after washing.

Love these shoes. The velcro closures are really quick and easy which makes getting shoes on a squirmy kid much easier than having to try to tie a double knot on a moving target. My child leaves them on most of the time so they must be comfortable.

I recently purchased these shoes for my son. I chose a wide width because although his foot seems to be long and narrow, that wasn't the case. His foot is wider than appears. When he got these shoes and wore them to school (we walk everyday, to and from school) he loved them. He said they are very comfortable and his feet didn't hurt anymore. He also said that when these shoes no longer fit, he would love another pair. I am very satisfied with my purchase. Well worth the money.
