My 10 year old daughter loves this shoe! Her Christian school permits sneakers to be "mostly, if not totally white." The first day she complained a bit - that the back of her shoes hurt due to a higher than normal lip on the back. Things must have softened considerably, because she hasn't complained again. She loves the colored inserts which slide in under the "N".
