I purchased these New Balance shoes because I have foot issues which occasionally require that I wear shoes one width wider than normal. I would hate to have to pass up the opportunity to play tennis just (which I find to run narrower than most brands), so I went ahead with a second, slightly-wider pair if I felt the need for the extra width. This CT1004 is wonderfully constructed and comfortable
