This referee-like shoe looks as good as it feels and supports my foot. The shoe is light, has great cushioning, and grips all basketball surfaces well. The shoe has a nice shine that can be easily maintained, but it doesn't have that showy artificial look like patent leather. I teach (so I spend most of the work day on my feet), and have recently tried (and liked) the shoe as a work shoe, as it has the all black design, the look and toe shape of a professional dress oxford, and the comfort of a court shoe.

I have not had a chance to put this shoe through the paces of basketball officiating but for volleyball officiating and the standing in place for a long time it was very comfortable. I will buy another pair.
