Closed toe describes a shoe or a sandal that is closed or partially closed at the front. Some closed toe styles, such as oxfords, loafers and mules, have completely enclosed fronts, while closed toe sandals, such as the fisherman sandal, have a protective closed toe area but open sides, which allow water to drain away from the foot.
About Rounded Toe Shoes:

We buy a pair of Crocs for our son every summer. This style seems to hold up the best. It is a little narrower than the classic fit so our second son with wider feet tends to get blisters with this style. Check out the different fits that Crocs has to offer. I didn't realize that they have a "roomy fit" versus a standard or a relaxed fit.

Cute, comfy shoe to go with dresses or pants - even jeans! Nice fit, nice arch support. Felt good from the first wearing!
