I'm 5'10" so I definitely don't need the height, but I routinely wear high heels and platforms. This one, while high, is comfortable to walk in and supportive on the foot. I love the two-toned leather straps (I got the blue) and the tribal-looking fabric on the platform. It looks like high end shoe. It could perhaps use a little more cushioning on the footbed, but overall it seems as though it would be comfortable for normal walking around.
