There is no breaking in period. From the first wear, they felt comfortable and light weight. I have trouble with shoes across the top of my foot because my toes are short, but these shoes fit perfect.

This is a sturdy, well made shoe. It is built for comfort, and is a good shoe for casual wear with pants. Unfortunately, it runs about a 1/2 size large and a 1/2 width too wide.
