I just received my boots today! I ordered the wide width, but when I pulled them out of the box to try them on, I thought they looked too narrow and was afraid they would not fit. I was thrilled when I slipped them on and the fit was perfect!!! On the downside, I guess a wide width sole means a wide shaft, because the shafts of the boots are loose on my slim legs. I guess that just means I'll have plenty of room should I decide to wear my jeans tucked into the boots! I like the detailing on the boots and hope to wear them for several years!

I ordered an 11 and it was a true 11 for a boot, which is not always the case. The shoe and the leg were big enough which is also hard to find in an 11. This shoe is really comfortable, I bought it as a walking boot vs. a fashion boot, though it is cuter that I thought it would look.

I tried ordering wide boots from another catalog - but they were sooooo wide at the calf - They stuck out from my leg and looked silly. I have very wide feet and to find a classy style (not a wide calf) but in ww - double wide - was a dream come true. I did order them in a size bigger as in winter you sometimes may wear thicker socks to keep your feet warm and I wanted them to be comfortable even then. The calf was a "little" tight at first try on but I wore them out last night and because they are real leather - they stretched a little so are better after only one wearing. They were a bit expensive but I think worth it - for fit, style and real leather (so many boots in catalog are man made - which makes your feet sweat and will not stretch at all!) I really like these boots and they will be in style for many years to come! (and the heel height - perfect - not too low - not too high!) The only reason I gave them 4 starts instead of 5 is because I would prefer the toe to be more pointed than so rounded.
