I wear a size 8-1/2M, but sometimes have to go to a size 9. It didn't happen in this case; a size 8-1/2M, was good. This is a casual career shoe and it is my 2nd pair.

I bought this shoe because I thought they were a nice looking shoe for the office and that the heel was just the right height. After wearing them all day, however, I thought they were a little stiff for a Naturalizer and they needed more cushioning. The toe bed is roomy enough, which I like, but even wearing the shoe with sox, they were slipping off my heel just slightly. I've decided to keep the shoe hoping that I just need to break them in.
