The Kayla is from the Elegant collection by Naot Footwear. This is a three-strap sandal features a Velcro® strap at the instep and a backstrap for added stability and support.
Features our patented footbed which combines a blend of natural latex and light flakes of cork designed to adapt to the shape of the foot, absorb shock and remove moisture. Coated in high quality, pampering suede that helps absorb moisture. A layer of natural latex sponge padding absorbs shock and provides a caressing softness while walking.
Hallux support enables natural hold by the big toe, prevents the foot from slipping forward, and improves the foots hold on the shoe. The elevated center of the insole releases pressure in the joints of the central part of the foot. Arch support enables the weight of the body to be correctly distributed and reduces pressure generated by the spinal column and joints. A deep heel indentation helps the body's balance and maintains the natural shape of the pad of the heel that protects the heel bone.

The design and look of the sandal is simple and pretty. I've worn it three times with nylons to break it in. Leather straps are still stiff. Cork cushion and rubber sole feel stable, but I'm not sure how well they will hold up with extensive wear or wet weather, or if it will repel dirt. Very lightweight. Heel height is really nice - 1 1/2 inch. I definitely love the wider toe area that Naot provides. I usually wear Romika brand and find it has the best heel support if you tend to get Achilles heel tendonitis. I could tell after two wearings of this Naot that it didn't have as much heel support. But it is a nice looking sandal, lightweight, stable and secure on the foot.
Wears this shoe: To work, social events, to church, with or without nylons.

Problem with Jewels January 08, 2013

I have worn this style for years, but this one within a week after I got them I lost one of the jewels. Fortunately I found it and was able to glue it in, but these are expensive and this shouldn't happen.

This is not my first pair of Naot Kayla sandals; it's my fourth or fifth, in different colors. They look stylish and feel great! I've had one or two of my pairs for several years already, and they're still in very good condition. I recommend them highly.

I love the comfort of this sandal. There are so many different colors and textures to choose from too. I am getting over plantar fasciitis and this sandal felt great from the moment I put it on. There are NO dislikes!

A little too narrow July 31, 2012

This is a very stylish looking shoe that I am hoping in time will become more comfortable for me. I have very flat feet and am wider across the toes and narrower in the heel. This shoe is very secure in the heel for me, but so far a bit snug across the toes, although I am hoping the leather will stretch with time. The positioning of the straps is good for people with bunions. The foot bed is not particularly padded but is comfortable, though a bit too narrow for my foot. I do not think this is going to be a big problem, although I would have preferred a wider base. I think this is going to be comfortable for travel and walking around towns for a few hours but I'm not sure it is the best all day walking shoe for me--at least not yet. I usually wear an 8.5 M and I am wearing this shoe in a 40 which is the best fit. The arch support is medium: more than Merrell's but less than Mephisto. I probably would have given it 3.5 stars overall.
Wears this shoe: Walking around town when I need to look a bit dressier than my usual grunge
