I bought these shoes for our special needs daughter, she needs well made shoes with velcro straps. Recently I had to return a pair of shoes I had bought on another website because the velcro straps were so short. The extra depth is great for her inserts.

These shoes come with several foot pads. You can use all of them or one, to make your shoe the way you like. For wide feet, because the straps will easily fit across the widest foot.

I have very wide feet (11 EEE)which are difficult to fit because of high arches, bunions and severe swelling caused by my arthritis. When I was told that I would have to have a Total Knee Replacement, I knew that meant weeks of rehab and that I needed to get a pair of shoes to wear during physical therapy that would be comfortable yet provide me the stability that I would need.The problem came in finding a shoe that would be wide enough and long enough to allow me to wear a sock rather than 'nylons'. This was the only shoe that allowed me to order a full size up in length and width to accommodate the wearing of a true sock. The reason that I said that the shoe is true to size and width is that I could have worn the shoe in my usual size, but due to wearing a heavier sock with some cushion I ordered up(12 EEEEE). This shoe is VERY comfortable, providing me the stability I need without being too heavy. I do not even need to use my custom orthotics. The velcro straps are long enough (a problem with some other shoes) to accommodate my high arches.I am very happy with this shoe and would order it again. Now that I've had my surgery and my feet are not swelling I still wear this shoe just because it is comfortable.
