Having recently been diagnosed with foot drop, and now having to wear a custom molded, heavy, rigid AFO, I've looked at a lot of different brands of shoes that allege to be AFO adaptable but they just aren't either deep enough or comfortable enough to accommodate this type of foot brace or they lack pizzazz. But wow! These shoes are amazing! Slacks, jeans, cropped pants. Nice summer shoe/sandal. I initially ordered a size larger to accommodate the AFO, but they were too big. I then exchanged for my normal size/width. Removed all insoles on the shoe of bad foot. The AFO braced foot fit in the shoe nicely. The extra long velcro counter strap of the shoe is placed low enough so that it does not interfere with the ankle strap of the AFO brace. The elastic across the top of the shoe allows for a little give over the top of the AFO which is nice or for when your foot swells. (Behind the elastic there is a piece of ribbon in 3 places on each shoe, that you will need to cut to allow the elastic to give accordingly). Are they comfortable: Oh yeah! I give them an A++. My good foot is very happy and comfy. Shoes have good support and are comfortable right out of the box. You also receive three sets of insoles/inserts for future use. I do wish they came in navy - with elastic. In summary, I feel that these shoes were made for the wearer of an AFO and am quite happy - so far.

I have bad feet with arthritis. This shoe was good as soon as I tried it on. Also the strap is way long enough when my feet swell to adjust.

Since having a stroke in 2009 and quitting smoking I have gained a ton of weight and my feet got wider, a LOT wider. I don't know if its because I rarely leave the house and go barefoot all the time, but nonetheless, none of my C width shoes fit me any longer and is it ever difficult to find a wider shoe, but I seen these and thought they looked rather neat. I received them a couple of days ago, but was hesitant to try them on because I have had such bad luck as of late. But this morning I did and I LOVE them. And I love the color. Also, that velrco strap actually has velcro all the way across, not just half way which I have found a lot of.

I ordered a 3E and it was very comfortable. The only negative is that my orthodic is a tight fit in the shoe.

I didn't keep these shoes because they were very uncomfortable for me but I do have a foot deformity so they did not work for me but they were very nice shoes.
