I was disappointed in this shoe, in the sense that the metal piece that the strap is looped through makes black stains on the strap that I found impossible to remove. It also marked on my skin every time I adjusted the strap, causing me to have to wash my hands every time, just so that I would not get smudges on my clothes.

The shoes fit very well out of the box though inside is somewhat deeper than I had expected. It will leave lots of room for warmer socks, and that is with my having a somewhat taller instep, though they seem fine with knee hi's as well.
Wears this shoe: on average maybe 3 days a week

I want pretty, feminine shoes in VERY wide sizes. This shoe, while not perfect, is the best "girlie" shoe I've found to fit. The strap is too wide, and the velcro rips the hems out of my pants (both mentioned before), and I suspect that it would also destroy hosiery. No other complaints. I'd own more Mt Emey shoes if they would make more in 7E... And if they made younger and more professional looking shoes, I'd end up putting their kids and grand kids through college based on what I would order alone.

I got these for my daughter who has extremely wide feet plus orthotics. These were perfect for her as a more dressy option. I wish there were more options, color and fashion-wise, for 7E shoe size wearers! These have been great.
