Designed for use on a variety of surfaces from rock and pavement to grass and dirt. This lightweight and responsive shoe is designed for the trail runner with a need for speed. Multi-directional outsole design offers exceptional traction in every direction. Gryptonite TM "Sticky Rubber" outsole material offers great traction on wet and dry surfaces, combined with outstanding durability. Trail deflection shield TM is molded between outsole and midsole to protect the foot from trail debris. Vapor-response TM midsole material is both lightweight and responsive. Upper materials are lightweight and breathable. Minimal upper design provides great fit in heel, midfoot and forefoot.

I wanted a walking shoe with a little more support/substance than a running shoe. I've liked the Montrail hiking boot in the past so I thought I would try their shoe. This seems to fit the bill.
