I have a pair of the hightop waterproof Merrells that I wear in the winter. I am a streetrodder and attend a lot of swap meets and huge car events where we do a lot of walking. I broke my foot and it healed wider that it was. So I need a wider shoe than before and I need more ankle support. I bought the wide Ventilator and I am totally satisfied with it. My older Merrells are broken in so they are OK not being wide. So now I have a pair for winter and a pair for summer.
Wears this shoe: When its above freezing and Im doing a lot of walking.

I actually own 2 pair of these and looking at buying a third pair in the darker color. I have worn these in all sorts of environments including dry deserts of the SW, rain, and snow. I have worn them up in the Sierra Nevadas hiking and to walk on the beach in Orange County, Ca. My boots have been with me on excursions in the desert with Air Force EOD teams and have never failed me nor left me with tired sore feet. I love these boots. I have friends that are US Army Rangers who wear these in Afghanistan. They are a all around great boot and it will be a sad day if they are ever stopped being produced.

If you wear a 14 in nike or new balance, order a 15 in wolverine. they are much smaller than advertised. my feet are killing me and I cannot afford to buy anymore for the next couple of months. I tried to return these, but couldn't because I had worn them to work. How else was I supposed to know.
