I've been looking for an ankle-boot with a 1.5-2 inch heel to wear with jeans for the last two years. It seems that all boots I've tried have poor arch support, even from companies like Born and Clarks, whose shoes are usually very comfortable. This is the first boot I've decided to keep, although it is still not ideal. It looks nice, the platform heel makes it pretty stable, has a "grippy" surface on the bottom that might be good on slippery surfaces (haven't tested it out on snow and ice yet). But the arch support still leaves much to be desired. I might try putting a gel sole in to help this issue.The boots have a bit of a "rugged" rather than "chic" look because of the panels made out of some sort of fabric but if you wear them under longish jeans or pants, all you see is a nice leather boot. When I was trying it on, my mother commenting on how small my foot was so I guess an added bonus is that it makes the foot look smaller, if that matters to you.
Wears this shoe: To work with jeans or pants in the fall and winter.

I am really pleased with these boots. I was looking for something stylish and comfortable that I could wear throughout the New England winter. These are perfect. Although I can't wear them as snow boots, I can wear them when there is some snow/ice on the ground, or out in the rain, and avoid the usual frumpy winter boot look. I have worn them a few times already and they are very comfortable and cute. I recommend them!
