I have been on a quest to find a shoe to replace the last of my Sperry Fathom Fisherman water shoes, which have been discontinued by the manufacturer. Finding a replacement was not easy, since the Sperry is such a good shoe.The Merrell WaterPro Manistee does the job. Like the Sperry, it was comfortable out of the box. It is light weight but offers good support. I use it at the gym, around the house, and plan to sail and canoe in them this spring. The unique lacing system automatically tightens the heel strap for prevention of the heel sliding up and down. It helps to make the shoe "fit like a glove".Bottom line: It is one of the best shoes that I have owned.The sole is non-skid and non-marking

This shoes gives the phrase "less is more" a good turn in shoes. They are light-weight, airy, and very comfortable. Excellent for hot days when your feet need more of a breeze than just a little air.
Wears this shoe: At home, to work, and just walking the dogs.
