I was hesitant about the size. A number of posts suggested ordering a 1/2 size larger. I'm a regular size 8 1/2 medium, sometimes 9. I had ordered 9 in a pair of Merrell boots a few years ago and had to return them for 8 1/2, still not snug. I went ahead and ordered the 8 1/2 and they fit perfectly. I have yet to see how they perform.

I have had these shoes for roughly 2 months and am very pleased to date. I purchased these shoes as my every day winter shoes and am looking forward to see how they handle the wet weather next winter. Size wise they compare well to other Merrill products I have purchased previously.

I have a pair of the hightop waterproof Merrells that I wear in the winter. I am a streetrodder and attend a lot of swap meets and huge car events where we do a lot of walking. I broke my foot and it healed wider that it was. So I need a wider shoe than before and I need more ankle support. I bought the wide Ventilator and I am totally satisfied with it. My older Merrells are broken in so they are OK not being wide. So now I have a pair for winter and a pair for summer.
Wears this shoe: When its above freezing and Im doing a lot of walking.

Great for a lady with a wider forefoot

I tried on the women's version of the Merrell Moab Mid Waterproof and loved how lightweight it was, but I could tell that if I bought the regular width that blisters would be in my future. Sadly, Merrell doesn't make this shoe for women in a wide width. So I had a brilliant idea: buy a smaller-sized men's version. It fits perfectly! I wear 8.5W in women's and bought this boot in a 7.5 regular width in men's. It's comfortable, lightweight, and took no time at all to break in.
