Merrell shoes was recommended to me by my sister-in-law as a good walking shoe. I purchased this shoe before going on a cruise that would require a lot of walking. This sandal was great. I must have walked over 4 miles aday site seeing and never rec/d one blister, which is the norm for me. Wore the sandal in the rain and mud. Shoe cleaned up with no damaged to the shoe. Would recommended this sandal to anyone.

The first pair I ordered was a size 8 and was a little large but for around the house they were fine. The second pair I ordered for outdoor wearing was a size 7 and they are perfect! Love them. Since the toe strap and the arch strap are both adjustable there is no problem with width. Very comfortable and cool to wear. Very good support for a sandal.

I have a titanium rod and joint in my foot and Merrells are the only shoe that makes my foot feel fine after lots or little walking. Even if you dont have titanium in your foot (and I hope you don't)these sandals are great for any type of walking or hiking with or without socks. Very comfortable and your feet never feel tired. Merrells rock.
