I am a long distance walker.I started wearing Merrells Tremors shortly after starting my walk of prayer across America, and wore them through all the seasons (in the winter months I wore waterproof fishing socks over my regular socks). I can no longer tolerate closed shoes, so the Tremor really fits the bill for me.

These sandals are great. They are the most comfortable sandals I've worn. I spend about 8 hours per day in them, on average. The removable heel is permanently removed, so I can slide right in.

Merrell changed a style that I had worn for the last 5 years and this is the replacement. If I had worn this shoe before the original everything would probably be ok, but this shoe just hasn't felt as comfortable. It is still a great wet/dry shoe for the beach, walking, or wearing casually.
