These shoes are awesome if you want to strengthen your feet for trail running. I like to use them because I like making my body stronger in every way possible. Do be careful if you have never really run barefoot. You need to work up to regular running in these shoes if you are used to using tennis shoes. The intricate muscles of your foot are worked much more by this style of running, but if you want a challenge, or just like to strengthen your body every way possible, these are for you.

They have improved on many aspects of this line, they look slick and feel like you're wearing nothing, they do start to smell a bit after you wear them....

Been wearing these every chance I've had since they arrived. Worn around the house, on trail walks, on the street. Am transitioning to minimalist shoes, so working up to some light jogging. Very comfortable shoe.

I'm tired and wary of athletic type shoes that are like platforms, to where occasionally I'll tip to one side, virtually falling off them and putting stress on an ankle. A couple years ago I found, and love, some non-leather Sperry's that are lower profile but now the only remotely similar Sperry's I find are oddly shaped and in harsh colors. The Merrell looked good so I tried them. Not a sleek-looking shoe due to width in the front but I like 'em and wear them without socks. Took a couple of times to get used to having such a low heel but it was the right choice for me and I'd get these again.
