Great all-around boot!

This boot has amazing grip and very nice cushioning. The excellent traction is consistent on various surfaces- solid jagged rock, loose rock, gravel, soft dirt, mud, grass. These boots are comfortable enough to wear off the trail and around town. Plus they don't look all rubbery like various other waterproof boots.Another plus is that the lace configuration allows you to easily lace the boot up only to mid-top height, as well as the full high-top level. Laced all the way up, the boot is very sturdy (almost painfully sturdy until broken-in). Laced to mid-top height, trail-running in them is pretty comfortable (but only when a warm waterproof shoe is necessary). They were warm enough in 40 degree weather, but I haven't yet worn it in lower temperatures.Overall, I am very pleased.

This is a great boot that is very warm and comfortable. I did have one of my 2 pairs separate where the rubber meets the toe cover. Overall, it's the best boot I have every worn. I will be buying another pair, and I just hope the next pair does not come apart.

good shoe for the price

Shoe fits great, keeps me warm but not too warm and it seems tough. I owned the same pair before. The only problem with them is under heavy use, the uppers tend to form a crack that destroy the water proofing. Considering the price if this boot lasts one year I will be happy with it's durability. The shoe eyelets are great and don't allow the shoe string come off like most boots.

Keeps feet warm, comfortable. Like them very much. Like the waterproof and the durable construction like the other Merrell shoes that I have. bought them for cooler wet weather.
Wears this shoe: Wear them mostly for work.
