It has a leather, TPU waterproof shell and construction with a polyester/ mesh bellows tongue. It has a Polartech® 200 Thermo insulation/lining, A coldproof insulating footbed, and a Viram thermo multi-sport sole with SnowTrek/ trek rubber. It has a TPU backstay with snowshoe strap ridge, 200 grams of Thinsulate insulation, 7.5mm narrow gauge webbing lacing system, and a grade 2 nylon tapered insole. It has an active heat insole, an Air Cushion® midsole, a serviceable medial heel spike area and a compression molded EVA footframe for comfort.

This shoe has been warm and dry as I crunch through the snow. Good tread to help make me sure footed. Wanted the boot for motorcycle riding, but will have to wait for summer weather to determine if it fits the bill for that.Had to return first set because too small,one size larger than normal shoe size fit comfortably.

Love the comfort and styling of these boots however after only 3 months water pours in. The inner part of the sole de-tached from the boot and allows water to pour inside. Seeing what merrell has to offer for replacement.Other than that the boot is very comfterable and keep your feet dry and warm throughout the winter months. If they would design a better sole that wouldn't seperate from the boot they would be all set. Fit was as expected and as advertised. Merrell;s have always been my go to brand of shoes. They are the only ones that hold up and last me years of use.

Bought boots for work. Really feel comfortable stepping into snow now without getting my feet wet. Took about one week to wear them in. Hard material of boot made the top of my foot somewhatuncomfortable when shoe laces or on tight. Would have liked the boots to be breathable.

Good boots waterproof to protect your feet. I have them in -15 C with a 1 feet of snow and I have any problems.
