This is absolutely the most comfortable hiking boot I've ever had. I have arthritis in my big toe and don't feel a bit of pain wearing it. It didn't require breaking in - I wore it on a 5 hour hike and didn't want to take it off when I got home.

I pursue walking in all kinds of weather. This shoe has been great for winter walking even on slippery park walking paths. It seems to give good traction walking up steep, icy paths so I don't have to walk on winding park roads. I really like this shoe/boot - it is comfortable and warm and has kept me going on 4 - 6 mile walks.

The shoe feels and looks great. However, out for a walk in the dew covered grass several mornings in a row, I've discovered that it is not really what I would call waterproof. I come home with socks damp on top where what water has seeped in through the shoes.
