I sprained an ankle and have since developed problems with arch and arthritis. With this boot, I am on the move again! I can imagine how great they would feel for someone without foot problems. I did add an orthotic from the Doc, but had I not had this issue, the insoles that came in the boot would be more than adequate, for comfort and support. We've had some miserable weather this winter and my feet have been warm and dry. I feel very sure footed and stable in these boots. I just ordered Columbia boots to try.....they are going back and I'm in a hurry to order another pair of these. Size 11 in the Merrell boots look not so bad, ( and that's saying a lot) But in the Columbia boots, they look like 3 sizes bigger! I'm very happy with these boots!
Wears this shoe: all the time that I dont need a dressy shoe.

I bought these to wear every day in the midwest winter. These shoes are great because your feet stay warm and dry, and they are very comfortable. I have plantar fascitis and this shoes works great for having enough support so it does not act up.Merrell have great boots and last for many years, so I am never hesitant in spending the money for them. They are well worth it!

Have not gone hiking in them yet but have worn them around town a couple of times. First time, they were a bit uncomfortable. They have high tops (which I got intentionally for additional ankle support) but I am not used to shoes with high tops. Second time, I left the top eyelet unlaced and they were much more comfortable. They will take some getting used to, which I'll do gradually.

I love this shoe. It has great arch support. I don't have to wear my orthotic. It's warm and holds my foot firmly in place. My husband has a pair of Merrell hikers and he loves his as well. We both wear them on days where there isn't enough snow for boots, but there is still moisture on the ground.

I only buy Merrell shoes/boots. From day one, they are comfortable & do not need a break in period. I am confident the insoles will remain as soft as they are now. My other 3 boots I have worn out, the insoles were like walking on pillows. I will continue to only buy Merrell shoes/boots. I would recommend them to anyone no matter what kind of work or pleasure you buy them for.
Wears this shoe: I wear them to mow, weed eat, clean up brush, etc.
