These are great shoes! I had just about given up on finding good hiking shoes and found these - hooray! I love the lift off in the toes, as they feels comfy and light as air. I don't think there will even be a break in period for them. They are definitely keepers.

I walk a minimum of 4 miles a day with one of my dogs and often add another 5-10 miles hiking the trails and beaches of Cape Cod. Sometimes I feel the remnants of an old injury in one of my ankles and noticed the mid-height boots I wear in winter give just enough additional support to make walking more comfortable. I wanted a lighter-weight version and had purchased a pair of Merrell sneakers last year that I love. If I was planning to wear heavier socks, I might want a half size larger.

I bought these boots for day hikes with the family. We do some moderate terrain and I love these boots. They are very comfortable and I didn't feel like I needed to break them in at all. They are so comfortable that I find myself wearing them around town instead of my sneakers.
