We got this shoe for my daughter and she loved it!It was immediately very comfortable for her. We got the size 12 for her, but all of her other shoes that she has are size 11 1/2, so that is why I said that if felt a half size larger than marked.

I am very surprised at how poorly this shoe has held up. My kids have had Merrells in the past and they have been great. This shoe is falling apart after only 3 months of wear. Also, the toggle closure did not stay tight.

My daughter has worn the basic leather Merrells for the past two years for her school shoes and loved them. This year she wanted a different style. We like the Siren but she has to pull the laces so tight that they have become long enough for her to trip over. We think we have solved the problem but are not as pleased with these as we were the past ones.
