This Siren has control issues—in the best sense. Combining narrow gauge webbing and leather anchors, its full-length lacing system snugs the breathable mesh upper to the foot for an exceptionally precise, balance-enhancing fit. Women-specific Q-Form™ alignment in the Air Cushion® midsole supports, directs and aligns foot for a more efficient gait. Siren™ sole combines lugs and tread for wide-range effectiveness. Slip lasted construction. Nubuck, pig suede and breathable 4-way stretch mesh upper. Breathable mesh lining. 4.5mm anatomical footbed. Nylon 6.6 injection molded arch shank. Q-Form™ triple density compression molded EVA footframe. Air Cushion® midsole. Vibram® Siren™ sole/sticky rubber.

I have been looking for comfortable walking shoes after 2 foot surgeries in the last 3 years.These are way more comfortable than the Brooks that I have been wearing.My hips and knees don't hurt and I feel my whole body is better aligned.I wear them all day and walk/jog the dog for a few miles in them.I was also happy to have color choices other than white(which look dirty pretty quickly); I ordered the black and the otter color for the second pair.I will say that the second pair feels a bit wider than the original purchase.

Sad they are smaller than other Merrell Siren Syncs January 01, 2013

I loved the look of this shoe, but the shoe is both shorter, and narrower in the toe box and toe depth than 2 other pairs of Merrell shoes I own and love. Since I ordered an 11, I couldn't order up a size. Soooo disappointed. When I compared the insoles between the Siren Syncs and these Siren Sports, there is AT LEAST and half size difference. Maybe closer to a full size. So, if you're not at an 11, I'd order up. Part of the problem is that the stitching on the inside of the shoe is quite rough. Since my toes were touching this stitching, it became uncomfortable quite quickly. With the hard rubber that goes around the perimeter of this shoe, they don't have the 'give' that the Siren Sport do. But, if the shoe would have been the same size as the Siren Syncs, I think they would have worked.

I love these shoes. They are so comfortable. I had another pair, that I wore when I went to Europe and we averaged walking 10.5 miles a day and they were comfortable the entire time. My only disappointment when ordering this time, was the color choice, but after trying them on, I can deal with not having my choice of color. Merrell shoes are one of my top 2 favorites.

I needed to replace my old athletic shoes, and have always liked other Merrell styles I've owned. The company was nice enough to give me this recommendation for a good all around shoe with which I could wear my orthotics. I found that to be true, the fit is very good, and it is a wonderfully comfortable shoe.
