This low cut shoe has a synthetic and breathable polyester mesh upper, a waterproof and breathable Gore-Tex® XCR® lining with an Aegis® anti-microbial shield, an OrthoLite® anatomical footbed, an injection molded nylon arch shank, a Q-Form® tripled density compression molded EVA footframe, a Merrell® Air Cushion midsole, and a Vibram® Siren rubber lug outsole.

I have bony narrow feet and needed a good weather proof shoe to walk my dog daily in the rainy Pacific NW. I love Merrell and have had many different pairs in the past. These are very comfortable except for where the tongue sits inbetween the shoe and the top of my foot. If I pull the laces too tight to keep my heel from lifting up, the tongue digs into me resulting in a lot of pain up through my leg. But I have worn them now consistently and they are starting to wear in and are more comfortable. Its just that the shoe around the top comes up very high, right under my ankle bones, and so I have to fuss a bit with the tongue but its getting better. I am determined to stick it out because the shoe is so comfortable and I NEED them!

I wear a 9 but a 9.5 fit perfect. I have 3 pair of these and I love them. Great tread and waterproof.
