I've used a number of different walking/hiking sandals and the Merrell Saugatuck is the best one yet. It's comfortable, provides good arch support, and has excellent traction in rough terrain. I'm very pleased with my pair and hope they last a long time.

The heal strap is a little tight, maybe it will loosen up as I wear it more.

I really like these shoes - they're beautiful, they're light, and they're comfortable.I do think the style runs small and tight.I bought 2 pair, one for a man who usually fits a size 8 and one for a man who always fits a size 12.Both shoes were small and tight.We re-ordered a 9 and a 13, and like them very much.I've been wondering if the tightness is deliberate, because they're for hiking - but I know I would lose a toe nail wearing shoes this short.

Was trapped in the bamboo rainforrest on Maui this summer, and these shoes helped by not slipping when wet.
Wears this shoe: Out and about, but definitely not a dress shoe.

These sandals are tough enough for long walks and are very comfortable, though they are probably more shoes than sandals. I wear them as much as I can.
