For adventure runners who want to maintain speed over changeable terrain the Overdrive has evolved, back to front. The heel pod maintains the same braking power with increased durability. When loaded, TPU studs, flush cut at the forefoot, improve traction on uneven terrain. A new EVA midsole lowers the profile for stability without diminishing the effect of TrailSpring™ structural support and cushioning.
Gender specific exclusive trail balanced last. Slip lasted construction with EVA insole. Airmesh upper with leather trim. Mesh lining treated with Aegis™ antimicrobial technology. Injection TPU heel counter support arms. 3600 of reflective trim. Kevlar lace and TPU molded lace lock system. Heel securing top eyelet system.
Bellows tongue with lace keeper flap. Forefoot protection design with gaiter hook. Ventilation and drainage system in forefoot. Anatomical ventilated footbed with Etc®. Anti-friction sock lining lining treated with Aegis™ antimicrobial technology.
Trail alignment system dual density molded EVA footframe. Injection TPU TailSpring™ structural support, alignment and cushioning system. Gaiter strap channel at arch bridge. Merrell Air Cushion® midsole. Multi-surface, high density studs in outsole forefoot. Vibram® Ultra-Traction™ dual density rubber outsole.

Needed a shoe for adventure racing. If you've ever done this type of race, you know you're wet most of the time. Have only done one race so far with this pair, but this shoe really seems to expel the water fast which helps keep the shoe as light as possible. No problem with traction either. Comfort?...well, there's never much comfort in one of these races, so it's hard to tell. Don't know about durability yet. Haven't had them long enough.

I searched for a no-tie lace athletic shoe for a very long time and came upon these. Unfortunately the laces lasted 5 consecutive days of normal wear and I had to switch to the regular laces that came in the box. Considering how expensive these shoes were, I don't recommend buying these shoes if you don't want to tie your laces.

Fits Like a Glove! Feels like they're pulling you forward as you walk or run, gives support when you're moving into tight turns I didn't think a shoe could really make this kind of difference in the way you move,but they do, I bought both so I would have them for a good time to come and so that they will keep the properties I've described.
