Product Description (Women's Merrell Overdrive II)
The trail runner that brings serious swift to changeable terrain has had a technical makeover and a gender-specific one at that. Its lower-profile upper has a trail-balanced last designed specifically for women, including a Q-Form structural alignment for an efficient stride. Other fast femme forward features include proprietary Merrell Air Cushion® midsole with Q-Form alignment for women that abets proprietary Merrell TrailSpring™ visible tubular support and alignment system. With the on-demand engagement of TPU trail studs, the Vibram® Ultra-Traction™ dual density sole has been modified for women.
Slip lasted construction with EVA insole. Mesh lining treated with Aegis™ antimicrobial technology. Features 3600 of reflective trim. Kevlar lace and TPU molded lace lock system. Heel securing eyelet system and a bellows tongue with lace keeper flap. Forefoot protection design with gaiter hook. Ventilation and drainage system in forefoot. Gaiter strap channel at arch bridge. Multi-surface, high density studs in outsole forefoot.

I love Merrell shoes, but I always need to try on the various styles because there are so many variations - some do not fit me. I need space in the area of the ball of my foot and the Overdrive style gives me that - a great fit. But some styles crimp my toes.

I bought this shoe because a friend had bought a pair. She said they were comfortable. We are both disappointed because they are wearing out too quickly in the heel. We walk at least five times a week and need a shoe that is going to last a little longer than a month or two. I do understand that a walker needs at least a couple of good pair of shoes a year. I am trying to find that shoe.

I bought these shoes for trail running. They have great traction without being bulky. The lacing system is quick & easy, and doesn't untie during my run. My feet and knees feel great after every run. I love the color because it doesn't show the dirt.
Wears this shoe: 5 days a week for trail running and hiking on the weekends.

For the past two years I have been wearing almost nothing but Merrell shoes, sandals and sneakers. I got my daughter and son-in-law hooked on them too! These are great sneakers and I will probably wear them till they wear out!
