Protective elements abound, from external molded heel counter to molded side bumpers to wraparound toe bumper. Merrell midsole tech includes Air Cushion®. Lug pattern on Vibram® Multi-Traction Plus™ sole is configured to encounrage easy toe-off and on-demand braking at the heel.

The boots are very light and comfortable. I'm very concerned that the left boot is starting to seperate from the sole. I have only had the boots for a few weeks. I think for that amount of money the boots should be holding up a lot better. I thought merrell boots were top of the line, they have let me down.

I have one toe joint that is almost solid due to arthritis. My doctor told me to stop wearing highly flexible walking shoes. This boot has a nice firm feel and my feet feel much better. After wearing the boots for about a month I noticed the insole was slipping toward the heel. The insole has now been replaced with one from 'Doctor Scholes'.

The boot is very comfortable for the most part. It rubs my ankle a little on one side. Hopefully it will break in. I have only walked about 7 miles with the boot so far.

So far a great light weight boot. I have been wearing daily for two weeks in damp ground around ponds. Overall very comfortable, I would suggest ordering a half size larger than you normally wear. As for shoebuy, a great experience with prompt exchange of size and delivery.
