The addition of Aegis™ antimicrobial-treated GORE-TEX® XCR® lining adds a new level of coldburst protection to this proven, highly ventilated desert rat. Featuring GORE-TEX® XCR® gasket construction. Waterproof dura leather with breathable mesh upper. Rubber (on black color) toe bumper and heel counter or synthetic (non-black colors). Breathable ventilated bellows tongue. 7.5mm narrow gauge webbing and a 4.5mm anatomical footbed. Nylon 6.6 injection molded arch shank. Compression molded EVA footbed. Merrell Air Cushion® midsole. 5mm sole lug depth. Vibram® Multi-Sport™ sole.

Fit: This style tends to run small. For an accurate fit we recommend purchasing a 1/2 size larger than you typically purchase. For example, if you normally purchase a size 7, we recommend purchasing a size 7 1/2.

My husband was very pleased with this shoe. He specifically wanted a waterproof shoe, and he liked the idea of the GoreTex also. I have no idea what GoreTex is or does, but I know it's a highly touted material in his hunting clothes/boots. He has other Merrell shoes, and he finds them all to be very comfortable.
Wears this shoe: Travel, everyday errands, etc.

This is the 3rd pair of these shoes I've bought, I'm on my feet a lot so want something comfortable. I work well hiking.

Good quality. Light. Sturdy. Did not feel very cushy. Unfortunately way too wide for Mid width.
