We stripped a hiking boot down to a sandal, airing it out while retaining vital components for protection and performance, including lateral and medial support posts and clip-adjustable straps over the instep and forefoot. I've been buying Merrell sandals for many years now and have always found they fit better and lasted longer than other brands I've tried in the past. The fit can be adjusted to use with or without socks. They feel secure when hiking and grip well when climbing on rocks. I wear them summer and winter. I buy a man's size because the width is better for me, and have not tried women's. My husband buys and likes them also. They are my everyday shoes, and look good enough to wear to most events. Very comfortable, good all-around shoe.

I really liked the look of these sandals. If I had any complaints I would leave be to blame. I bought them because they had a buckle instead of a strap. I didn't pay any attention to the buckle being on the outside of the shoe instead of the inside. It's a little hard to see and reach but with some practice and "deep knee bends" I have finally got the hang of it. Merrell makes great and rugged products. Well worth the money!
