Great winter boot
By Victoria, from Austin | January 25, 2012
Great waterproof winter boot. I ordered both this boot and the Arctic Fox 6. The Arctic Fox 6 was a little bit more comfortable for me around the ankle, and it weighs a little bit less than the Isotherm Mid Waterproof. So, I am keeping the Arctic Fox and reluctantly returning the Isotherm. Both are great boots and I can't take away a star from this one, just because I preferred the other. If I lived in a cooler climate, I'd keep them both!

Great Boot!
By Meah, from Cleveland, Ohio | January 03, 2012
I bought these boots for the cold, sloppy weather experienced during northern winters, especially getting from my car to my place of employment without getting my feet/dress shoes wet. These boots are warm, durable, stylish, and exceptionally comfortable. They also offer excellent traction. Order a 1/2 size smaller than your regular size for an accurate fit. If you wear really thick socks, then go with your actual size.

Terrific Boots
By Yve, from Armidale, NSW, Australia | December 18, 2011
I just spent two weeks touring Switzerland and I wore these boots every day all day. They are warm and very comfortable to walk in. I was impressed with the grip when walking on ice and snow and found them completely waterproof when trudging through deep snow and puddles in the rain. Along with feeling good they look good too - they were just as suitable for exploring Christmas markets and shops as they were for playing on the snowy alps. I'm very glad I bought them.

Best Boot
By Linda, from Maine | November 09, 2011
I think that the boot is the best boot I have ever owned. It is comfortable to walk in and I walk all day long, non stop. Water proof, fur lined. What more could anyone want? Love it.... Can't say enough good about it. It's a Merrell. I would buy it again in a heart beat.

Great shoe!!
By Lisa, from Tennessee | October 25, 2011
I love this boot. I think it is one of the lightest winter boots I have ever owned. I work for a delivery company and do lots of walking, it is just like wearing my tennis shoes!!! My feet stay warm and they don't get wet by no means.

Wears this shoe: Cold winter days, especially good for snow and slush
Great Winter Walking Boot.
By Teri S., from Kansas City, MO | February 23, 2011
I bought these boots to walk in the winter especially in snow and slush. I walk about 3.5 miles daily, at a fast pace, and wanted a boot that was water resistant, warm, but not too heavy. The first time I wore them I was concerned because I felt friction at the ankle on my right boot. I had read this concern in someone else's review and thought this may be a problem for me as well. I found that once I loosened up the laces, especially at the top it solved the problem. Now I have no complaints and love these boots. They are everything I needed for those cold slushy days and more.

good boot!
By Mich, from Long Island, NY | February 11, 2011
This is a very comfortable, warm & waterproof boot. I originally placed order a half size bigger based on other reviews. NO NO NO!!!! This only applies if you're wearing thick, heavy socks, like ski socks. I prefer to wear regular socks so as not to over-heat. So: regular socks order regular size...if ski socks go 1/2 bigger. This is a BIG detail to be left out when reviewing a shoe..thanks a lot everyone! Some people mentioned strapping snow shoes to these things...I'm in the northeast, not the north pole. For those of you who are not hiking the frozen tundra and just want to get to work warm and dry....good shoes. Worth the money. I originally tried the Northface boots. Very Bulky and heavy. Just missing outboard motors. Go with the Merrel, much smaller and lighter, commuter friendly and won't look completely ridiculous with work clothes.
