Honestly, I was unaware that this shoe was a "stretch" until they arrived and I put them on...and I'm happy. They need to be broken like any shoe but the ease of putting them on and taking them off is fantastic. They grip very well when hiking or running around town. Overall I'm very happy and will probably by a 2nd pair since I'm pretty rough on every pair of hiking/running shoes I find.
