You'll be the sherpa of style on the slopes with our Apex, a modern comfort adaptation of the high Asian steppes that cushions yours. Cordlock lacing cinches the leather upper with a protective and waterproof soft shell front, and sits above an anatomically precise, durable QForm® Comfort midsole to intuitively absorb impacts. An impermeable waterproof membrane upgrades performance by keeping chilling moisture out, while the wool fleece footbed naturally manages it inside.
This boot has a pig suede and nubuck upper with a waterproof soft-shell front with cement construction for lightweight durability, a waterproof and breathable membrane, an Aegis® anti-microbial treated lining, 200 grams of Merrell Opti-Warm™ lightweight and low bulk insulation, an Ortholite® anatomical footbed, a molded nylon arch shank, a QForm® Comfort EVA midsole for women's specific stride-sequenced cushioning, a Merrell Air Cushion in the heel for shock absorption and stability, and a Merrell Encore 2 Sticky Rubber outsole.

Good for running around in the winter. Not a good boot for being outdoors for long periods of time. Toes Will get cold after a few hours. Fit my purpose of running around with kids. Cute boots on too.

I ordered 7.5s (I usually wear 7s or 7.5s) because I wanted to wear thicker smartwool socks with these, and that ended up being just right. I love how warm these are...keeping in mind I've only worn them around the house so far (it's still plenty warm outside). They seem to be great quality, and I really like how they look with jeans over the outside of them. I don't have "skinny" type jeans, so I'm not sure how they would look tucked in, but I think they're pretty cute. :)

I never thought I would write a review on a pair of winter boots, or make the claim that I love them, but here I am doing both. These boots are extremely comfortable and warm...definitely the warmest winter boots I've ever owned. I recently took my children sledding and my feet stayed very warm the entire 2 hours. Usually, the cold from the snow seeps through the soles of the boots and chills my feet shortly after being in the snow, but not with these boots.I am seriously considering buying a second pair to stash away until this pair wears out. I've been searching for a good pair of winter boots for a long time and I finally found a pair.These boots are definitely worth it!

Typical Merrell comfort in the footbed but even though I am of slender to average build, I found the calf portion too tight and they tend to crunch down while wearing.
Wears this shoe: Anytime the show is deep.
