I give the Contour Glove 5 stars for being a rather hybrid barefoot shoe--in that it is more sturdy and substantial shoe --and still being almost as comfortable as a more naked barefoot shoe. I have had some rubbing around the ankle and socks during the break-in period with the Contour, but I'm confident all will work out. This shoe has a wide enough toe box and more "head room" above my toes than expected, but it's important for the toes to breathe :-) The sole seems thick, don't feel the tiny rocks so much. All in all, very pleased with this shoe, a nice addition to Merrell's barefoot family.
