Really like this shoe. It was my (3) pair of Merrell shoes. I took this pair out of the box and the next day climbed Mt. Whitney on a 3 day trip. No problems, they were broken in after 30 mins. I work in the wine industry and spend a fair amount of time walking in water, these shoes are perfect.

I have had these a short time but they've been just what I was looking for. Merrell is always comfortable. Traction is great. So far my feet have kept cool on hot summer days.
Wears this shoe: Walking the dog, around town -more once summer is done and I'm not at the beach.

I live in the mountains and go through 2 pairs of these a year. They are tough and take a pounding. The fit is key in any hiking shoe and this one fits well.
