An evolved Chameleon for sportive women who intend to file a flight plan even in wet weather. Merrell In-Board™ EVA footframe with Q-Form™ stride alignment and Air Cushion® conceals the midsole to enhance the sleek look of the mid-height, speed-laced waterproof nubuck leather upper. Vibram® Chameleon Arc™ surrounds multi-directional Octogrip™ tread with shapened anti-slip crescent tread.
Waterproof construction. Waterproof nubuck leather/suede leather. Breathable padded tongue.
Injection molded TPU external counter. Injection molded TPU instep stability arm. Protective molded rubber rand. Protective molded rubber toe bumper.
4.5mm anatomical footbed. In-Board™ compression molded EVA footframe with grade 3 tapered nylon insole molded to bottom. Q-Form™ triple density compression molded EVA footframe. Air Cushion® midsole. 4mm sole lug depth. Vibram® Chameleon Arc™ sole/TC5+ rubber.

I wanted a shoe for the winter months, so I have not worn them as of yet. I was very happy with the comfort and the quality of the boots.
Wears this shoe: I wanted something to throw on when there was snow and slush on the walks.

I am an active 70 year-old woman. With growing feet, this is the first time I've ordered a 9. The sizing directions on the website helped. The boots are warm, supportive and comfortable.

I bought this shoe because I have bad feet and was looking for good support. I wear them with thick scocks and they feel very comfortable while I walk my 2 mile walk everyday. I have only had the shoes about a month, but so far I am pleases with the fit and comfort. I bought them a half size larger which was needed as they seem to run a bit small. For me a break-in period was needed.

The Chameleon Arc is a replacement for the Merrell Moab Ventilators I've worn for the last 3 shoe purchases. Because I live in a dry and dusty region, I was looking for a lightweight hiker that did a better job of keeping the dirt out than the Ventilators, plus had motion control for the extremely rocky and uneven hiking terrain, but also had adequate cushioning. I am pleasantly surprised and I am so glad I spent the extra money this time. The support of the Chameleon is far superior, they accept my custom orthotics without cramping my feet, and the width is much truer than the very wide Ventilators. I haven't had an opportunity to use these in wet conditions yet, but the waterproof factor wasn't my primary reason for buying them. I am a personal trainer and group fitness instructor and I know that with today's advanced shoe technology, that a shoe should fit right out of the box with no "breaking in", as in the past. These are great.
