Product Description (Women's Merrell Chameleon Arc 2 Wind Gore-Tex®)

This sneaker features a combination construction that delivers stability in the heel and flexibility in the forefoot. It has a Gore-Tex® Performance Comfort footwear lining that protects feet and keeps them dry, an Ortholite® anatomical footbed, a compression molded EVA foot frame for cushioning, a molded nylon arch shank, and a Merrell Q-form® Comfort midsole that provides women's specific stride-sequenced cushioning. Merrell air cushion in the heel absorbs shock and adds stability. Vibram® Chameleon Arc 2 Sole/TC5+Rubber.

I love Merrell shoes for hiking, serious walking, everyday wear. This pair is lighter than most of the others and I think the front of the shoe is a little wider than the others. I even have an orthotic that I put into this shoe and it still fits and is very, very comfortable.
Wears this shoe: All the time--work, hiking, serious walking, at home, at play. . .

I bought these shoes locally and they were too small with my orthotics, but the store didn't have a 1/2 size up. I am used to "supportive" shoes being really wide and clunky-looking; these shoes provide excellent support and are sporty to boot. The shoes have what I would call a "technical" fit; they are streamlined and close-fitting, especially with my inserts. Going up a 1/2 size has been perfect for me; I am not tripping over the ends and they are very comfortable. And the Goretex is a wonderful thing in Southeast Alaska. I have a stand-up workstation and wear them all day and into the evening at work and on the weekends as well. They are great "every day" shoes. I love these shoes!
Wears this shoe: All day to work, where I have a standing workstation and on weekends
