It took me a while to decide if I wanted to keep this shoe. The front piece attaches right about where my foot bends. When I tired them on at the end of a day at work, they weren't as slipper-like in comfort as I was used to with Merrell shoes. I finally bit the bullet and wore them to work. They were fine. Size was a little roomy with hose/stockings, a little snug with socks. Will have to adapt.

Merrells are great! These shoes though were surprising. I usually wear a wide width, so since they didn't come in a wide, I ordered a 1/2 size larger than usual. They were actually too big. So I sent them back (great return policy!!) and got a size 7 med and they fit perfectly! Love them!

The Apure is a great Merrell shoe. I wear it with jeans. I can dress casual at work, but I don't wear sneakers so these are perfect. Very comfortable. I wear the black ones with thin to medium socks and I put them on and wore them all day the first day and thereafter without any problems. Two things that would make them better. Get rid of the seam down the middle of the toe box and give them all-leather lining. They have the feel of a comfortable sneaker but look like a nice shoe!
