This is a great shoe, however the only downfall is that its price increases. This is my 3rd pair, the first one I paid $150 and now I paid $335. What gives, there is no improved technology on the shoe it is the same design. However, I could not refuse to buy it again I just love it that much.

I love to walk and I have back and knee problems. This shoe is perfect. Great support. I have trouble finding this model but I love wearing them.

I call these my 'magic' walking shoes. My feet feel so good after a walk that I am tempted to walk another mile. They hold my foot secure so it does not move and the heel feels no impact when walking several miles. I am 56 and the feet are important. It is easy to lace with the steel lace hooks.

I need a shoe of this quality as I have spinal and knee problems. It increases my stability and minimises pain by reducing shock especially in rougher terrain where I like to walk.

Many years ago, before my first trip to Europe, I decided to splurge and buy the best walking shoes I could -- as we planned to walk miles everyday. I have worn them practically non-stop ever since. Although they are nearly impossible to wear out, this is my fourth pair (different colors). Have also tried other Mephisto styles, but this one fits my foot the best.
Wears this shoe: I live in a house with cement floors, so I wear them every day.
