Product Description (Women's Mephisto Rush)
Mephisto's classic walking shoe with Air relax system uppers made with full-grain nubuck leather for ultimate breathability and durability. Each shoe is lined with a removable felt insole to reduce friction and for convenient cleaning and replacement. The Air Jet system channels air throughout the shoe with every step to keep the foot fresh and healthy.
These shoes also contain virgin latex foam mid-soles to absorb heel strike and to form to the foot for a customized fit.
Constructed on Anatomically Correct Full Fitting Last for proper heel, arch and foot support when walking.
The built-in layer of "latex-mousse" in the soles offers the entire body the sensation of walking on a "carpet made of soft cusions".
Fit:
This style tends to run small. For an accurate fit we recommend purchasing a 1/2 size larger than you typically purchase. For example, if you normally purchase a size 7, we recommend purchasing a size 7 1/2. Mephisto shoes are designed to fit loosely in the heel. For maximum comfort, the heel should be cradled, not fit snugly.

I need a shoe of this quality as I have spinal and knee problems. It increases my stability and minimises pain by reducing shock especially in rougher terrain where I like to walk.
Wears this shoe: Mainly for longer walks particularly on holidays ,bush walking etc.

Many years ago, before my first trip to Europe, I decided to splurge and buy the best walking shoes I could -- as we planned to walk miles everyday. I have worn them practically non-stop ever since. Although they are nearly impossible to wear out, this is my fourth pair (different colors). Have also tried other Mephisto styles, but this one fits my foot the best.
Wears this shoe: I live in a house with cement floors, so I wear them every day.
Great comfort and well made.

I had a pair of Mephisto Rush shoes several years ago and loved them. Always wanted another pair but I couldn't find them, until I found Shoebuy! Discount, no tax, and free delivery. Can't go wrong here! Got my new shoes the other day, and they fit just like I remembered. I have no arch, and these shoes support my fallen arches beautifully. A more comfortable, long lasting, and excellent shoe doesn't exist for me.
