To start this shoe is 100% high quality. Everything about it is well put together and feels solid. The leather and the stitching make it feel like it's going to last forever. The downsides were of my own personal taste. First being the shock absorber on the bottom which sticks out 1/8th of an inch which feels funny to me when walking. The other being it feels like a dress shoe when wearing it and looks like a casual/comfy shoe on the outside. If you can live with those 2 you won't be disappointed.

I have several mephistos (bonito, hike perf, hike) which are all excellent walking shoes. But I didn't know just how different the "match" is. It's incredible. Looks are deceiving; the shoe has an incredibly well designed arch support, making walking a totally new experience. After the first 15-30 mins, your feet adapt to this and it's a real pleasure. Very comfortable fit, and I have EEE feet (note: I went up a 1/2 size, which made the fit perfect for me). These really are comfortable walking shoes. And, I will most likely buy another pair, they're worth the money.

Reviewer: Chach from Northwest Ohio Mephisto shoes are my favorite. They last forever and are very comfortable and the Adelio is like all of the others that I own. This shoe tends to run wide as many European shoes have a wider toe box than American styles. The cushioning system and the rubber sole is very comfortable. The shoes are well made with soft leathers that never seem to wear out. I've been wearing Mephistos for about 10 years now and don't buy anything else.
