These sandals are simply outstanding. Great fit and exceptionally comfortable. My second pair, by the way. Mephisto shoes can sometimes feel a bit too wide, but the Sams are perfect for a medium width foot. I have friends who also own them and have gotten more than 10 years worth of wear so far.
Wears this shoe: After work and on weekends.

Bought my first pair in Aspen eight years ago. Living on Maui, I wear mephistos 95 % of the time, including social events. They have shaped to my foot, and have been to a shoe shop twice in eight years for minor "maintenance". I will still wear them during rough weather while keeping my new ones for everyday wear.

This is the third Mephisto and second pair of Norman sandals I have worn. They are comfortable, cool and last for years. As a Florida resident these shoes get a TON of use and last for years.
