Shoe Size: Felt true to size Shoe Width: Felt wider than marked I already have this shoe (in birch), and, I was so pleased with it that I had to get another (it's that comfortable!). So, I ordered the tan (aka Desert) and it's great. The fit is perfect (p.s., I have 3E wide feet). I know it's worth the $$ and it's really an investment.

Shoe Size: Felt true to size Shoe Width: Felt wider than marked I have several mephistos (bonito, hike perf, hike) which are all excellent walking shoes. But I didn't know just how different the "match" is. It's incredible. Looks are deceiving; the shoe has an incredibly well designed arch support, making walking a totally new experience. After the first 15-30 mins, your feet adapt to this and it's a real pleasure. Very comfortable fit, and I have EEE feet (note: I went up a 1/2 size, which made the fit perfect for me). These really are comfortable walking shoes. And, I will most likely buy another pair, they're worth the money.

Great Workhorse Shoe December 20, 2012

Shoe Size: Felt half size larger than marked Shoe Width: Felt true to width I have trouble with heel pain from time to time and usually require an orthotic in most shoes. The Mephisto match is one of the few shoes that I can wear all day without an orthotic. The support is outstanding and they get more comfortable as they are worn. The quality of the leather and the workmanship is very good as well. I bought the tan color on a whim and loved them so much I bought them in black, too.

Shoe Size: Felt true to size Shoe Width: Felt true to width The Mephisto Match is a well constructed shoe with fine materials and excellent craftsmanship. But the shoe does feel much different from other shoes I have worn like Ecco and Johnson and Murphy. The Match has an insert that raised up the arch much more than other shoes. Right now it feels uncomfortable because of it but I hope that after I wear them a few times, the uncomfortableness will go away. So, my evaluation of the shoe is currently incomplete.
