The built-in layer of "latex-mousse" in the soles offers the entire body the sensation of walking on a "carpet made of soft cushions". All styles in the Golf collection by Mephisto are built in the tradition and with the technology of Mephisto using the best natural leathers possible.

Fit: True to Size. Mephisto shoes are designed to fit loosely in the heel. For maximum comfort, the heel should be cradled, not fit snugly.

I have several mephistos (bonito, hike perf, hike) which are all excellent walking shoes. But I didn't know just how different the "match" is. It's incredible. Looks are deceiving; the shoe has an incredibly well designed arch support, making walking a totally new experience. After the first 15-30 mins, your feet adapt to this and it's a real pleasure. Very comfortable fit, and I have EEE feet (note: I went up a 1/2 size, which made the fit perfect for me). These really are comfortable walking shoes. And, I will most likely buy another pair, they're worth the money.

I have trouble with heel pain from time to time and usually require an orthotic in most shoes. The Mephisto match is one of the few shoes that I can wear all day without an orthotic. The support is outstanding and they get more comfortable as they are worn. The quality of the leather and the workmanship is very good as well. I bought the tan color on a whim and loved them so much I bought them in black, too.

The Mephisto Match is a well constructed shoe with fine materials and excellent craftsmanship. But the shoe does feel much different from other shoes I have worn like Ecco and Johnson and Murphy. The Match has an insert that raised up the arch much more than other shoes. Right now it feels uncomfortable because of it but I hope that after I wear them a few times, the uncomfortableness will go away. So, my evaluation of the shoe is currently incomplete.

On my feet all day at work "I don't ware them at work"..... but change into them....ahhhhh! Yes!Good quality...well made...probably my last pair of shoes....

I used to wear this style Mephisto and for some reason got caught up with the cheaper fashion brands. A hip specialist recommended that I go back to the Mephisto to get the correct support and gait. I own a black and a white pair and have given away all my other shoes. This shoe is a life saver.
Wears this shoe: Always wear it. Health and comfort are more important than style.
