This is probably the most comfortable sandal I've ever worn--so comfortable that I bought them in two colors. I wear a 9 1/2 N and bought a size 40 in this sandal. It's perfect. I have had a lot of feet problems with flat feet, bone spurs, etc., but the orthotic (removable) in this sandal is wonderful. There was no break-in time at all.

I bought these shoes, loved the soles and the support it gave my arches. The soles were very, very comfortable. The problem was the leather uppers. No matter how I adjusted the straps, the leather would rub against my toes and the top of my feet. I returned the shoes because no matter how comfortable the soles were, the leather uppers made them impossible to wear for long periods of time. SAD, because the sandals truly are classic beauties.

I love the looks of this sandal, but if you are planning to do a lot of walking the Mephisto Myrta has a lot more support. It is possible that it feels a bit narrow because I had the removeable insole customized for my foot. Still it is a great sandal.

While this sandal is comfortable it is too maculine looking and makes my feet look bigger and clunkier than they are. Perhaps if it was a lighter color I would be more satisfied with the sandals.

While the price tag might be a little daunting, the shoe is more than worth the money. I've had other well-known brands of sandals in the past and none of them have been nearly as comfortable as the Mariet. The velcro straps make it simple to adjust them to perfectly fit my feet. They are calfskin and so soft that they never chafe. All around, the best sandal I've ever had the pleasure of wearing.
